Avoid These 3 Web Design Trends in 2019

avoid these 3 web design trends in 2019

Times are changing- Along with new trends come dying trends. Here are 3 trends that have outlived their time.

AVOID TREND #1: HAMBURGER MENUS

Those three lines on the top left corner of your home page aren’t really ever used. Designed for mobile users, they’re effective on cellular sites; however, for the vast majority of users, even those using tablets or smartphones, the menu options can quickly become overwhelming.

AVOID TREND #2: SIDEBARS

Based on the purpose of the page, sidebars, which were a diversion, are being phased out. Essential for blog posts to allow ease of use from site subject to blog subject, they serve little purpose for many except to allow users to stray off the path more quickly and easily.

AVOID TREND #3: ENDLESS SCROLLING

Everyone has their limits. That is around 5 seconds for mobile visitors. Web pages that scroll down to the limits of your visitors’ attention span is a no-no. They will simply leave your website. True story. What to do? Limit scrolling and make sure the page isn’t too saturated with information, break up the page into one or more pages.
